Starting topics and replying to topics increases your total post count.

When you reach a certain number of posts your member rank is upgraded. Your member rank is indicated by an image and title, shown next to each post you make right under your name & avatar.

The rank image starts out with 1 bright yellow star, ending with all orange stars. Your rank title goes from Newbie to File Sharing God.

Once you reach 300 quality posts you may choose your own rank title.
