I have a 4Mbps/192kbps cable line.

Along with a 12GB/month transfer limit <_<

I use TW Road Runner, when it's up and running, in my area we experience daily outages of about an hour in the morning and then the evening. Supposedly it's 6 meg down/3 meg up, but really it's 3 meg down/768 Kbs up.

Using fiber cable 10Mbps, both up and down.
10Mbps is the official number the ISP always guarantees to be available, but most of the time it's over 20Mbps.

Update: in December 2007 my ISP decided to upgrade all connections, the speed is now 100Mbps.

I was looking into FIOS, but it's not going to be available to home in my area of Ohio for the foreseeable future. Curse you Verizon/AT&T.

Same for my part of Ohio, the southern part. If Verizon would bring their FIOS here I'd dump TW in a heartbeat.
