Demonoid blocks Torrent Scan

Since it seems that it is still working for a lot of people, I have added it back to the list ;)

The Demonoid search engine is no longer available.

The engine started to block block searches from Torrent Scan, hence it has been removed. I did not receive any warning or reason for the block, so I do not know why Demonoid's attitude towards Torrent Scan suddenly changed.

No worries though, there are still enough great torrent search engines for you to use. You may always nominate sites for the torrent engine list, all nominees will undergo extensive testing and those that pass will be added.

Anyway, carry on torrent scanning! ^_^

It can't be used in conjunction with Torrent Scan anymore. You were required to visit the site in a new browser page.

I can imagine it working for a while because of cache. It will clear up eventually and turn out to be inaccessible!

How do you know they blocked TorrentScan?
I never had any problems either.
I don't mean to be rude or anything, I'm just curious.

I'm not sure why the Demonoid engine was removed either. I have never had problems nor am I currently having any problems since the engine was removed. I leave my torrent box on 24/7 and thus have torrentscan page open 24/7 as well. Even now I am still using the demonoid engine on the page and it is working properly. I have never had it open demonoid in a new window either.

Are you sure that it is not just an issue for those that do not have a demonoid account? I opened demonoid in it's own window l_o_n_g ago and entered my login info then closed the page. Ever since then I have been able to use the demonoid engine and have it open in the torrenscan pane normally with my account already logged in and the search results displayed.

Either way, I will leave my torrentscan window open and continue using the demonoid engine as long as it continues to work for me.
