DAMN NFO Viewer Description

DAMN NFO Viewer allows you to open and view .NFO files and correctly renders ASCII art if present.

DAMN NFO Viewer will correctly depict the ASCII art in any text file, so it is not just limited to .NFO files. You can in fact use it as a read-only Notepad replacement.

Link and email address linkification
DAMN NFO Viewer will automatically scan for links and email addresses in your .NFO file. If it finds any matches, it will turn those links and email adresses into clickable shortcuts.

Appearance can be customized
DAMN NFO Viewer can be completely customized to your likings. You can choose which text and background color should be used. You can also choose whether links should be underlined and which color they should have, including the color that should be used when you hover over them. There are three different fonts built into the DAMN NFO Viewer that you can choose from and you can also change the font size.

Integrated into the operating shell
If you set DAMN NFO Viewer as the default application for .NFO or .DIZ files, a pretty icon will be used to depict them instead of the default operating system or other program's ones.

Smart line break handling
DAMN NFO Viewer will render Unix style line breaks correctly. It also renders line breaks that are broken correctly. Broken line breaks may occur due to wrong Unix to Windows or back conversion.

Support for Unicode
The DAMN NFO Viewer installer has a Unicode version included. The Unicode version of DAMN NFO Viewer will be installed if your system supports Unicode. The Unicode version offers improved support for a multilingual user interface.

Select text and copy it automatically
Select text in the .NFO file you have opened and the text will be copied to your clipboard. To indicate that the text has been copied, the highlighted text will flash for a moment.

Some useful DAMN NFO Viewer tips:

• Alt+R or Ctrl+R will open the "Most Recently Viewed" menu
• Esc or Alt+X closes DAMN NFO Viewer
• Tooltips have been installed for all settings, these contain additional information
• There is a 500Kb file size limit in place to prevent you from opening files that are too big and which will slow the program down. You can remove this limit if you want by setting the following registery key to 0:
  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DAMNDAMN NFO Viewer\MaxFileSizeKb
• In the program directory you can find an uninstaller
