DVD Decrypter Description

DVD Decrypter is a software application. It is a powerful tool used to rip DVDs. It is used to rip the contents of your DVD movies on to the computer’s hard drive. You can then edit them from your hard drive.

To use, simply put the DVD movie in the personal computer’s DVD drive. DVD Decrypter will then read what is on the disc. Choose only the files that you are interested in or select all of them and put them right on a folder in your hard drive.

DVD Decrypter makes backup discs of the DVD-Video structure. Any DVD can be imaged using it, but it also decrypts movies that have been copy protected. Images can also be recorded to disc, using this application. DVD Decrypter, AnyDVD, DVD Shrink and Smartripper are all Content Scrambling System (CSS) decrypting software programs. These programs enable region-specific DVDs to be copied as all-region DVDs.

DVD Decrypter bypasses Content Scrambling System (CSS), Macrovision, user operation prohibition and region codes.

DVD Decrypter was distributed free of charge, but some areas no longer allow it to be legally distributed.

The burning image is now used in a software program called ImgBurn. The disc images can be burned onto optical media to make discs that can be played in DVD players and stand-alone hardware. These include DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R DL and DVD-RAM.

The images can also be viewed on the computer, by using software such as PowerDVD and WinDVD. However, WinDVD is only able to view complete DVD-Video structures.

Also the disc images can be exported to SVCD, VCD or DivX format. They can then perhaps be recorded on to CD-R or C-RW media.

DVD Shrink and Nero Recode can be used to encode disc images to a smaller size and strip them of unwanted extras.
