The uTorrent Mac version was created after the astonishing success of the uTorrent Windows version. It aims to bring the same benefits and advantages that made uTorrent the most popular BitTorrent client on Windows, to the Mac OS.

The main features of the uTorrent Mac version are:

• Extremely low usage of system resources
• Very easy to use
• Completely free with no malware or other third-party software included

uTorrent for Mac is still very much under development and still has a long way before it reaches the full feature set for example the uTorrent for Windows version has. Nevertheless, it is well on its way of achieving the full feature set its counterpart has.

The uTorrent Mac team decided only to offer support for Mac OS X 10.5 and upwards. The reason for this is that they want to catch up with their Windows version regarding features as soon as possible.

The latest beta release is already stable enough to use it as your primary BitTorrent client on the Mac OS.
